The host of Pokémon Smash! played the X&Y copy Masuda lent them. They covered some early areas and they chose Froakie as a starter.
1. Fletchling was found, battled with Froakie and caught in the first route.
2. Fishing returns! The hosts fished up an Octillery, battled it with a Honedge (Honedge used what seemed to be Aerial Ace and Shadow Sneak) and caught it too!
3. Surfing (HM?) returns and items hidden as Pokéball on the ground also returns.
4. Inkay was found on tall grass in a small island and was caught with a Great Ball.
